UC project for clean energy won a Cleantech Camp 2019 Award
10 july, 2019
The Pavement Energy Efficient Extractor (PAVNEXT) system was distinguished at the Cleantech Camp 2019 Programme, a programme that supports entrepreneurship in the field of clean energy. The system was developed by researchers of the Civil Engineering Department of the University of Coimbra within the PAVenergy project. Researchers developed a pavement that allows decreasing the number of accidents and their seriousness, producing electric energy through the passage of vehicles, using a superficial cover made of rubber resulting from the recycling of used tires.
