After finishing their secondary education, students pursue their first higher education degree by applying for a 1st cycle or 2nd cycle integrated programme. To this end, students should read the rules and deadlines for applying, available spots and the selection criteria for each programme. Students should then apply through Inforestud@nte and submit the required documents.

The national access competition is the usual application means used by students finishing their secondary education to apply to a public institution of higher education.
