The Fundação Oriente awards short term scholarships to applicants from Far Eastern countries, who wish to attend courses, undergo training periods or field trips in Portugal. Sino-Portuguese Programme of Cooperation in Science & Technology

The Programme of Cooperation in Science and Technology between China and Portugal facilitates bilateral cooperation between scientists/researches of the two countries by way of exploratory visits and joint R&D projects in the fields of Cellular, Molecular Biology and Biotechnology; Materials Science, including Nano Technology; Health Sciences; Agricultural Sciences and Clean Energy.

Programme is open to scientists, engineers, institutions engaged in advanced research in the above referred areas in Portugal and China.
