From Porto

Bus: Arriving in Oporto, you can take a taxi** at the airport for the 30-minute trip to the Coach station - Garagem Atlântico. Coaches to Coimbra are frequent and the tickets cost about 11 EUR; you can view the coach schedules at http://www.rede-expressos.pt/. The time of travel is about 2 hours.

Train: Arriving in Oporto you have two choices:

     1) you can catch a taxi* to the Campanhã Train Station, but that is an expensive option;

     2) you can take the subway violet line http://www.metrodoporto.pt, from the airport to the Campanhã Train Station (it takes around 30min) and it is quite cheaper than the taxi.

For the train timetables please go to www.cp.pt. It usually takes around 1h to get to Coimbra by train. When arriving at the train station Coimbra-B you will have two options:

   a) there is a train to take you into downtown (called Coimbra-A station)  and there you can take a taxi to go to the hotel/conference venue.

   b) you can simply catch a taxi in Coimbra-B and go to your hotel/conference venue.
