*GRE- Graduate Record Examination

TOEFL- Test of English as a Foreign Language

Although not mandatory, the GRE General Test and TOEFL tests are advised. Your scores must be sent directly to  the University of Coimbra. You can register for these tests at the ETS registration site.  In Portugal the GRE and TOEFL tests can be taken at Universidade Lusofona de Humanidades e Tecnologias in Lisbon and in Coimbra, at our Department.

Note about GRE/TOEFL:
If you haven’t done these tests before you should prepare for them. It’s highly advisable that you solve a number of practice tests before. The score you get on the first tests is typically low, but it highly increases after some practice. Get ready!
