CPLP Mathematics Olympiad

The II Mathematics Olympiad of the Community of Portuguese Speaking Countries (CPLP) were held between July 20 and July 28, in Salvador da Bahia, Brazil. This year the Portuguese team was formed by four students of the Project Delfos, David Martins, Diana Macedo, Miguel Costa and João Rocha, all awarded with a medal. David Martins received a gold medal, and Diana Macedo, João Rocha and Miguel Costa received silver medals.
The eight countries of the CPLP participate in this event: Angola, Brazil, Cape Verde, Guinea-Bissau, Mozambique, Portugal, São Tomé and Príncipe and East Timor. The first edition, the Lusophone Mathematics Olympiad, took place last year in Coimbra, jointly organized by the Department of Mathematics of the University of Coimbra and the Portuguese Mathematical Society.
