SPAM and Thunderbird Configuration

1 - SPAM Identification


In order to have your messages identified as SPAM, follow the instructions below:

activate
"Controlo de correio não solicitado (SPAM)" in: https://www1.ci.uc.pt/mancontas/antispam

Endereço e-mail: username@fe.uc.pt     or    ucnºstudent@student.fe.uc.pt
Cód. Acesso: chosen by user
Nível de controlo: choose the level intended

Email Account

Identify:
        Your Name: ...
        Email address: username@fe.uc.pt     or    ucnºstudent@student.fe.uc.pt

  Servers information:

select
POP
        Incoming Server: mail.uc.pt
Use Global Inbox remove option
        Outgoing Server: mail.uc.pt

Logon information:
       Incoming User Name: username@fe.uc.pt     or    ucnºstudent@student.fe.uc.pt
       Outgoing User Name: username@fe.uc.pt     or    ucnºstudent@student.fe.uc.pt

Tools - Account Settings

Click in Server Settings

Security Settings select SSL

in Server Settings select: Check for new messages... e Automatically download ...

Click in Outgoing Server (SMTP) select TLS

3 -To identify SPAM messages, follow the insctructions:
Create Rules (an example because the user may choose other options)
