Master in Economics

TEMPUS Programme Coimbra/Tomsk

TEMPUS Double Master´s Degree Programme between University of Coimbra and Tomsk State University, Rússia (TEMPUS-1-2013-1-RU-TEMPUS-JPCR, 2013-2015 “Strengthening Higher Education in the Sphere of Finance in Siberia and Far East of Russia”)

Starting from the academic year 2015-16, the Master in Economics, Specialization in Financial Economics, will begin a joint master's program with Tomsk State University, Russia, leading to master's degree awarded by both universities. The program lasts for 4 semesters (120 ECTS) and is awarded to students who undertake the first two semesters (1st year) at Tomsk State University and the third and fourth semester (2nd year) at FEUC.

Russian students interested in applying for this program must be enrolled in the Masters in Finance from the Tomsk State University, enrolling during the 1st year in the compulsory courses from this program according to that described in the curriculum of the double degree program (see the document with the agreement signed between the UC and the Tomsk State University). The 2nd year of the program takes place at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Coimbra. During the first semester of the second year Russian students will enrol in the compulsory courses from the Master in Economics, Specialization in Financial Economics: the three compulsory courses common to all Master in Economics students and the two specific compulsory courses of the specialization in Financial Economics (see http://www.uc.pt/en/feuc/eea/mestrados/economia/). In the 2nd year, 2nd semester, Russian students write their Project Work / Internship Report under the joint supervision of a faculty member of FEUC and Tomsk State University. This is an English language program. The Project Work / Internship Report is also written in English.
