Licínia Simão is a Professor of International Relations at the School of Economics of the University of Coimbra and a Researcher at the Centre for Social Studies. She teaches at the three International Relations Programmes: Undergraduate, Masters in Peace, Security and Development, as well as at the PhD in International Politics and Conflict Resolution. She holds a PhD Degree in International Relations, specialization in European Studies, from the University of Coimbra; and a Bachelor’s Degree in International Relations at the School of Economics of the University of Coimbra. She has developed research in several geographical areas, namely the Russian Federation, the European Union, the South Caucasus, and Central Asia. She has also been involved in outreach activities namely with Middle and Secondary Schools in Portugal. Her research work has been published in different articles and book chapters both in Portugal and abroad.
