Steve Catarino
Steve Catarino graduated in Biochemistry in the Faculty of Sciences and Technology of
the University of
Coimbra in 2003. He is currently
a PhD student and part of the Biology of Ageing Research Unit of the Centre of
Ophthalmology at IBILI.
Scientific Interests:
His research interests include the mechanisms of regulation of intercellular communication through gap junctions. He is also interested in the role of the ubiquitin proteasome pathway in endocytosis of plasma membrane proteins.
