Prof. Cunha-Vaz receives GIAN BATTISTA BIETTI Medal

This award will be presented to Prof. José Cunha-Vaz during the Annual Congress Italian Society of Ophthalmology to be held in Milan from 23 to 26 May 2012. Prof. José Cunha-Vaz is thus the first European to receive this medal.

INDP 2012 Call for Applications
The INDP is associated with the Champalimaud Neuroscience Programme, comprising fourteen research groups with a focus on the neural circuits and systems underlying mind and behaviour. Over 50 students are currently enrolled in the INDP, which will enter its sixth year with the present Call. Before beginning research on a thesis project, admitted students will complete one year of intensive courses led by distinguished local and invited international scientists. The INDP is supported by funding from the Portuguese Science and Technology Foundation (FCT), the Champalimaud Foundation and the Gulbenkian Foundation. The application deadline is March 15th, 2012. University of Coimbra will release its first radiopharmaceutical.

The University of Coimbra is going to release its first radiopharmaceutical in an event that will take place on February 3, 2012 at 12:00 at the Auditorium of the University Hospitals of Coimbra and will be attended by His Excellency the Minister of Health, the Ministry of Education and Science and the Secretary of State of for Higher Education, among other national and regional prominent figures.
