About the Course

The 3rd Cycle of Studies is a way of continuing the integrated study cycle in Psychology (Integrated Master’s Degree), thus completing the specialised higher training. It also promotes the production of consistent contexts and research networks, contributing to the fostering of excellence programmes and international cooperation and enhancing further scientific activity, such as post-doctorates. This PhD primarily aims to provide students with specialised training/research in different areas of Psychology, to boost their research skills and their integration into national and international networks, to encourage scientific employment and strengthen links with business, social and work contexts, to promote the scientific and technological progress of the institution, embedding the ongoing projects in their Research Units and developing new research projects, in response to the needs of the communities themselves

Course Outline

The study cycle is worth 180 ECTS and lasts a minimum of three and a maximum of five years.

The curricular componente, known as the Advanced Studies Programme, is worth 60 ECTS, and the preparation of the thesis is worth 120 ECTS.

On passing the curricular part of the study cycle with course the student will be awarded a Certificate of Advanced Studies in the scientific field, and the speciality and thematic area of the course.
