About the Course

The PhD in Cognitive Psychology aims to provide training and experience of research, both at its fundamental level and as it is applied in the area of basic psychological processes and social cognition.

The activities in this course are carried out in close collaboration with the research into Applied Cognitive and Social Psychology at the Institute of Cognitive Psychology, the R and D Unit of the Faculty of Science and Technology and with the Research Group on Psychosocial and Cognitive Processes, where the researchers form the basis of its teaching staff.

This ensures an appropriate framework for doctoral students in consolidated research programmes and support from integrated instrumental and analytical platforms.

The applied research component involves, as a rule, interdisciplinary and collaborating experts from other faculties and / or research units of the University of Coimbra.
