Psychosocial and Cognitive Processes

About us

The main objective of the Research Group on Psychosocial and Cognitive Processes (GIPPC – Grupo de Investigação em Processos Psicossociais e Cognitivos) is to develop basic and applied research in the field of personal and interpersonal psychological processes (perception, attention, dynamic representations, social cognition, judgement and decision making; self and interpersonal relationships), group and intergroup processes (group structure and dynamics; intergroup relationships, identity and social categorisation) and societal processes (culture and environment; religion and politics; consumption and publicity).

The GIPPC also aims to establish and develop laboratory and logistics platforms for the integrated development of experimental studies and psychosocial enquiries.
