Anselmo Borges

He is a Priest in the Portuguese Missionary Society. He studied Theology (Gregorian University, Rome), Social Sciences (École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales, Paris) and Philosophy (University of Coimbra). He taught Philosophy and Theology at the Portuguese Catholic University and at the Maior Seminary in Maputo, Mozambique. He is a philosophy teacher (Philosophical Anthropology, Philosophy of Religion, Ethics, Women and Religion) at the Faculty of Letters of the University of Coimbra. Some of his publications include: “Marx ou Cristo? [Marx or Christ?]; Janela do (In)visível [Window to the (In)Visible]; “Religião: Opressão ou Libertação?" [Religion: Oppression or Liberty?]; “Morte e Esperança” [Hope and Death]; “Corpo e Transcendência” [Body and Transcendence]; "Deus no século XXI e o futuro do cristianismo” [God in the 21st Century and the future of Christianity] (coordinator); “Janela do (In)finite” [Window to the (In)Finite]; “Deus e o sentido da existência” [God and the feeling of existence]; “Religião e Diálogo Inter-Religioso” [Religion and Inter-Religious Dialogue] (published in 2010 by Coimbra University Press). He writes a column for “Diário de Notícias” on religious themes.
