Francisco de José Almeida Cardoso

He is Assisatant Professor at the Department of Physics of the Faculty of Science and Technology, University of Coimbra and Visiting Assistant Professor at the University of Beira Interiror. He is also a member of the Scientific Council of the Higher School of Technology of the Viseu Polytechnic Institute, where he is in charge of Automation and Industrial Instrumentation at the Pedro Nunes Institute, and is responsible for the Automation and Industrial Instrumentation Group at the Instrumentation Centre of the Department of Physics, Faculty of Science and Technology, University of Coimbra.

He was Director of the Pedro Nunes Institute. His main scientific research interests are Automation Systems and Industrial Automatic, Scientific Instrumentation, Sensor Networks and Advanced real-time architectural systems.
