Irene Vaquinhas

She is Professor and member of the Scientific Committee of the Faculty of Letters of the University of Coimbra, and Director of the Masters program in History and Museology Her research interests include the economic and social history of the 19th and 20th centuries, in particular rural history, the history of violence, the history of women and the history of private life. She has published several books, including Violência, justiça e sociedade rural.
