He's a lecturer at the Faculty of Humanities of the University of Oporto as well as being a registered member of the department of Classical and Humanistic studies and part of the DIAITA project at the University of Coimbra. He completed his PhD in 2007 on the subject of Greek Literature with a dissertation entitled “Characters in Euripides’ Theatre. Tradition and Identity in Electra”. The most prominent aspects of his research work include the delivery of seminars and the publication of scientific material in the areas of Greek Studies, the perennials of Classical Culture and Strabo’s Geography. He has lectured in a wide variety of subjects ranging from Latin and Classical Greek to Greek Literature and cultural studies, the didacticism of classical and Portuguese languages, the history of theatre and theatre production and the methodology of scientific work.
