In 1983 he received his degree as an Architect from
the Higher School of Fine Arts of the University of Porto. He has a
professional practice and is an Associate Professor at the Department of
Architecture of the Faculty of Science and Technology of the University of
Coimbra, where he obtained his Doctorate in 2002.
Focusing his interests on architecture and the organisation of space, he has written on a variety of themes including: cities, theatre, and culture. He has also published the following works: Pré-Ocupações, Escola Superior de Belas-Artes do Porto [“Pre-occupations, Porto Higher School of Fine Arts”] (1985) (Internship report for the Final Exam of the Architecture Degree at the Porto Higher School of Fine Arts); Quinas Vivas.
