Maria Rita Lino Garnel

She holds a Doctorate in Contemporary History from the University of Coimbra. She is a member of the Institute for Historic Sociology at the Faculty of Human and Social Sciences at the New University of Lisbon and is a consultant on the “National inquiry on gender violence” project. Her scientific research interests are: the history of violence, women’s history, the history of medical elites, and the history of public health in Portugal.
