Using Saint Michael's Chapel

Saint Michael's Chapel may be used by present or former members of the University's community for the celebration of religious ceremonies (mass to honour someone or weddings).

To set a wedding date you should contact the University Chaplain, through the University Chaplaincy, as early as possible (telephone +351 230 859 800, ext. 3210, oe-mail address gci-rpp@ci.uc.pt).

The decoration of the Chapel, being at the betrothed's responsibility, should comply to the established norms for the event (placing a limited amount of flower arrangements on the lateral altars, by the pulpit and on the main altar as long as they do not cover the painting of the Last Supper).

To use the Chapel, the amount of EUR 100,00 should be paid by present members of the University of Coimbra, or EUR 200,00 by alumni.

To use the pipe organ the amount of EUR 150,00 should be paid, which doesn't include the service of an organ player.

The presence of a photographer who proceeds by the established norms is allowed (given that they are in a holy place).
