Title: Evaluation and follow-up of new technology development projects (AVALORE I)
Coordinator: Pedro Godinho, João Paulo Costa
Dates start/end: March 2007 / March 2008
Entity: PT Inovação
Synopsis: In this work the projects of Research and Development (R&D) from the PT Inovação Company were modeled. The model encompassed a realistic methodology of costs allocation to projects, as well as the representation of the stochastic factors from which the evolution of R&D projects depend. The sources of operational flexibility were identified and a methodology to incorporate them in the processes of evaluation and follow up was defined. The objectives or criteria enabling to capture the preference structure of the management and some paths to achieve efficient compromises were also identified.
