A study in the Mondego estuary has shown that estuarine ecosystems cope well with a maximum temperature increase of 2 ° Celsius, values proposed by the Paris Agreement. The study, coordinated by researchers from the Centre for Functional Ecology of the Faculty of Sciences and Technology of the University of Coimbra, reveals that there are no significant changes and the impact is reduced.
“Oh as casas as casas as casas”, a line and the title of a poem by Ruy Belo gives the motto for the 20th Cultural Week of the UC, which will take place in 2018. Project submissions are open until September 24th.
The 2017 Judo, Taekwondo and Karate European University Championships finish today. During three days more than 600 athletes from 230 universities, of 27 European countries have been in Coimbra. Also today at 6 pm do not miss the opening of the exhibition "Fragmentos", at the UC Academic Prison. 11 photographers were invited to shooot some characters in iconic places of the University of Coimbra (UC), unveiling the spaces in the present time while telling stories of the past. 25 photos were selected from among 200 to set up the exhibition.
