PREPARATORY ACTIONS:  Approval of the research project by the Committee of Ethics;  Alignment of the master in Youth Sport and the branch of Sport Training in the PhD in Sport Sciences to the main tasks of the thematic line and refine the curriculum;  Recruitment of master and PhD candidates with proficiency in English;  Establishing cooperative contracts with crucial organizations such as clubs, federations;
DEVELOPMENTAL ACTIONS:  Invitation of the most proeminent world researchers in longitudinal studies and in multilevel modeling to participate in the advanced programs: Robert Malina, Neil Armstrong, Craig Williams, Adam Baxter-Jones, Lauren Sherar, Sean Cumming, Marije Elferink-Gemser, Roel Vaeyens, Renaat Phillipaerts;  Invitation of the above mention experts to co-supervise PhD candidates;  Produce a timeline that comprises 2014-2017 (longitudinal data collection), 2017-2020 (analysis and submissions);  Organization of intensive programs with universities that also are managing longitudinal studies: University of Ghent and University of Groningen; Promote weekly based appointments with students (especially PhD candidates), monthly based meetings of the scientific committee (integrated members), semester based reports about progresses and constraints with the government of the Faculty, Rector and Vice-Rector, Annually based meetings with the body of trustees
TRANSLATIONAL ACTIONS:  Encourage students to produce their thesis in English and organized in a set of manuscripts;  Promote the participation of the most productive researchers in relevant international scientific conferences;  Organize annual meetings with the partners, local authorities, clubs, coaches;  Produce a special number of the Annals of Research in Sport and Exercise devoted to the most impressive master and PhD summaries;  Produce a CD and/or DVD with practical implications and suggestions of the thematic line.
