The conference is organised by the University of Coimbra with the technical and scientific support of the European Commission JRC.
The EEDAL conference is a well established and recognised international conference now in its seventh edition. In particular the conference aims to attract policy makers, and experts from different countries and regions around the globe to foster the international dialogue.
The EEDAL conference brings together all the key players in the residential building sector, including appliances, HVAC and lighting manufacturers, residential energy efficiency experts and academia, utilities and ESCOs, consumer organisations, retailers and policy makers, with a view to exchange information on latest developments in energy efficiency and sustainable energy solutions. In particular, EEDAL aims at promoting international research, dialogues and harmonisation initiative to foster energy efficiency in the residential sector.
The wide scope of topics covered during the EEDAL conference includes: consumer behaviour and lifestyles, markets and technologies, focus on developing countries, strategies for increasing efficiency, standards and labels, measurement methods, public procurement, market transformation programmes, end-use metering, demand response, smart meters, smart homes and smart appliance, energy services, energy programme evaluation, residential appliances, HVAC, consumer electronics, ICT, residential lighting, home automation and metering, on-site (residential) power generation.
