Revista Filosófica de Coimbra is a scientific journal based in the University of Coimbra, Portugal, with a large international diffusion, publishing work in the field of Philosophy or in another fields with philosophical merit, responding to the demanding richness of European linguistic expression and respecting the variety of contemporary philosophical perspectives.
Revista Filosófica de Coimbra publishes only original articles.
The non-solicited texts are all to be proposed for independent evaluation by referees of known scientific merit, chosen by the Director. The Journal will accept texts in Portuguese, Spanish, English, French or German always imposing blind procedures of reviewing.
Texts may be sent to Revista Filosófica de Coimbra at the address below.
The articles submitted for evaluation shall be original texts. Translations from previous texts or work published in chapters or parts of books or in other scientific periodicals, in Portugal or abroad, are excluded.
The submitted articles shall be sent in three copies to firstname.lastname@example.org. Only one of them must mention the name of the author, the title and the date.
Texts should be submitted with an ABSTRACT, not exceeding 100 words, and
KEY-WORDS. The abstract must be written in English and also in another
language that the authors may choose among those accepted by the Revista Filosófica de Coimbra.
Footnotes should be kept to a minimum and references should follow the Publication Guidelines (Normas de Publicação) published here: (http://www.uc.pt/fluc/dfci/normas_publicacao). Each paper must contain an end
list of bibliographical references of cited writings, in the body and in
footnotes, and their respective DOI.
The submitted articles and documents must include the following references regarding authorship: institutional affiliation; institution sponsorship (if applied); e-mail address; ORCID.
The referees may propose changes to the submitted texts.
After evaluation and acceptation the authors are responsible for correcting proofs. During this process corrections that deviate substantially from the initial meaning of the evaluated texts will not be tolerated.
In due time, after the publication of the Journal, the authors will receive free offprints of their texts.
The Journal will accept original texts for evaluation during all the year, but the authors will be informed of the evaluation only twice a year, during February and September.
