ANNOUNCEMENT

 The IBILI, Institute for Biomedical Research on Light and Image, Faculty of Medicine of Coimbra, was evaluated in the ranking of "Excellent" by the Foundation for Science and Technology, in the process of international review that took place in 2008 and involving hundreds of units. It should be noted that this classification was only obtained by another institution in the area of Health Sciences at national level, which shows the effort to reorganization and promotion of scientific merit that this institution and the Faculty of Medicine of Coimbra are being carried out.

The publication of the first results of the evaluation exercise of independent units of Research & Development is based on the reports of 23 panels of international experts from over 15 countries, who visited all the units in 2007 and 2008 and evaluated written reports previously submitted to the Foundation for Science and Technology, by their own units in July 2007, is now available on the site:
