International Applicants

Check if you have the necessary IB admission scores

UC accepts applicants with a secondary education diploma who have done the International Baccalaureate (IB) exams in 2017 or in the three previous years: 2016, 2015 or 2014.

To be able to apply students must have at least a score of 28.2. This is equivalent to 120 in the Portuguese 0-200 scale. Please note that this is the minimum score required for application.

The table below shows the IB scores and their equivalent average score in the Portuguese 0-200 scale, to which all scores must be converted:

Additionally, students must apply with at least one or two subjects taken at a higher level (HL) depending on the chosen degree programme. To learn which are the required admission exams for your chosen undergraduate degree programme check this table.

The evaluation and ranking of the applications take also into account the curriculum analysis of the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP).

The selection process will occur later and will be based on the ranking of the scores, converted to the Portuguese scale, of all international student submitted applications.

N.B.B. All applicants must also submit a recommendation letter with their application.
