PALESTRAS

Durante o 2º Encontro WHPO serão realizadas quatro palestras principais com quatro figuras de da mais alta craveira internacional ligadas ao domínio da cultura, a quem foi lançado o desafio de testemunharem a sua vivência, os seus projectos e os seus sonhos em relação à salvaguarda e promoção do património como instrumento de desenvolvimento e dignificação das relações entre povos.

WORKSHOPS

Diversos Workshops temáticos, com duração aproximada de 6 horas  (3 sessões de 2 horas), abertos a todos os públicos, vão constituir espaços especializados de formação e debate, durante o evento.

Os Workshops estão a cargo de grupos de investigação da Universidade de Coimbra com colaborações de outras Universidades e Instituições nacionais e internacionais.

Os temas dos diversos Workshops – das Ciências, à Humanidades - são os seguintes:

• Conservação do Património Português em Betão
• Intervenção Estrutural sobre o Património Construído
• Mestre Pero no contexto cultural em Portugal do século XIV
• A problemática da humidade no Património Edificado
• Revestimentos exteriores do Património Edificado
• História da Construção: Contributos para a conservação
• Património e Paz
• Diásporas, paisagens e arquitecturas
• Preservar, editar e divulgar os clássicos da literatura portuguesa
• Turismo e património
• Patrimónios de Influência Portuguesa: política e ética da memória
• Intervenções no Património - Do confronto passado/presente à síntese tradição/modernidade
• Património e tecnologias da informação e comunicação

A par dos workshops abertos ao público em geral, decorrerá um workshop reservado aos gestores de Sítios Património Mundial e convidados. O objectivo deste workshop é a discussão e criação da rede WHPO.

A participação nos workshops está limitada a um máximo de 25 incrições; só se realizarão se houver um número mínimo de participantes (5).

DESTINATÁRIOS

São destinatários deste encontro todos os interessados pela salvaguarda e gestão do património, nas suas mais diversas vertentes. Em breve será disponibilizado o programa detalhado e o sistema de inscrições “on-line”.

LECTURES

The 2nd WHPO International Meeting will host four main Lectures from internationally renowned professionals in the Cultural domain. They’ve been challenged to come and testify their experience, their projects and their dreams regarding the safeguarding and promotion of Cultural Heritage as a tool to dignify and develop the relations between People.

WORKSHOPS

Several thematic Workshops will constitute specialized spaces for training and debate. For each theme there will be three sessions of 2 hours (six hours in total) open to all public.

The Workshops are a responsibility of the University’s Research Centres with the contributions of other national and international Universities and Institutions.

The Workshops’ themes – from Science to Humanities – are the following:

• Conservation of the Portuguese Concrete Heritage
• Structural Intervention on the Built Heritage
• Master Pero in the cultural context of the fourteenth century in Portugal
• The problematic of moisture in the Built Heritage
• External coverings of the Built Heritage
• Construction History and Conservation
• Heritage and Peace
• Diasporas, landscapes and architecture
• Preserving, editing and promoting the classics of Portuguese literature
• Tourism and Heritage
• Cultural Heritages of Portuguese Influence: politics and ethics of memory
• Interventions in Heritage - From the past / present confrontation to the  tradition/ modernity synthesis
• Heritage and Information and Communication Technologies

Alongside to the workshops open to the general public, there will be a workshop reserved for World Heritage Site managers and guests. The goal of this workshop is to discuss and create the WHPO network.

The registration in the workshops is limited to a maximum of 25 participants. The workshops will only be held with a minimum number of participants (5).

PARTICIPANTS

The 2nd WHPO International Meeting is addressed to all interested on the safeguard and management of Cultural Heritage in its various aspects. Soon, a detailed program and an online registration system will be available.
