A three-hour workshop on the syntax of this language was offered to students in the Master’s Program in Descriptive Linguistics in March, 2004 by Alain Kihm, professor at the University of the Sorbonne and the Centre National de Recherche Scientifique (Paris), author of the book Kriyol Syntax: The Portuguese-based Creole Language of Guinea-Bissau (John Benjamins, 1994).
