Prof. J. Clancy Clements

A nine-hour workshop on the Indo-Portuguese creole language was offered to students in the Master’s Program in Descriptive Linguistics by Professor J. Clancy Clements of the University of Indiana (USA), author of the book, The Genesis of a Language: the formation and development of Korlai Portuguese (1996, John Benjamins, Amsterdam/Philadelphia).
Prof. Clements came to Portugal to give this workshop in March, 2003 through a special travel grant from the Fundação Oriente.
