Awards and Scholarships at the UC
The University of Coimbra recognises, enhances and encourages its best students in order to enhance their merit, commitment and academic performance, as well as recognise and promote the academic and scientific excellence in the different cycles of studies it provides. Therefore, the University promotes also equal opportunities to complete a course regardless of the economic situation of the students, thus fighting withdrawal and rewarding academic success.

Merit Awards and Scholarships for UC International Students
With the aim of awarding the merit and ensure equal cross-cutting opportunities to the whole community, the UC has created the Regulation no. 346/2025, which is the Regulation on the Merit Scholarships and Awards awarded to International Students in the University of Coimbra. Therefore, the following Scholarships, Awards and Distinctions are planned for International Students:
