Welcome to all new students
Welcome to all new students

Attention: we inform all the applicants admitted to the UC on the 3rd phase /extraordinary phase, that the UC offers the possibility of registering only for one semester, as a result of which they must take into account their registration´s date and consider the possibility of registering only for the 2nd semester.

[1.] By choosing this option, a fee payment plan is generated concerning the 2nd semester and the corresponding instalments, thus giving you more time to plan and begin the classes and assignments of your Mater’s/ PhD course.

[2.] It is essential to contact the Faculty responsible for your cycle of studies in order to evaluate if it is possible to attend only the 2nd semester. However, if you register only for that semester, you may withdraw your registration until 31st January, with a minor impact on the fees. The registration fee is always due.

»» Regarding the International Students, the 30% amount payed upon registration is always due as well.

[3.] You may make changes to your registration in curricular units of the 2nd semester until 15th March, at InforEstudante.

[4.] You should consider your options very carefully because if you select annual curricular units or units from the 1st semester, an annual instalments’ payment plan is created, which implies that, when you register, you are immediately obliged to pay the instalments until the month of your registration (including it).

In the UC there are neither provisional nor conditional registrations, either by reason of a visa issuance, calls for scholarships or other special circumstances.

In accordance with what is established in the regulation of the UC, after sealing the registration you become obliged to pay the fees, and if you withdraw your registration, you are only exempt from the instalments’ payment regarding the months following the date of your withdrawal.

»» For example, if you register on 1st November for both semesters (annual registration), you are obliged to the payment of the instalments from the beginning of the academic year, all of them with the deadline in November. If you withdraw on the same day, you are only exempt from the payment of the instalments from December on.
