No. The UC issues automatically the cards for all the students who enrol/register at the UC, including those admitted by means of the National Contest of Access and Admission (CNA). To
this end, students just need to have their photo and personal data, including the
name to be included in the card (given name and one or two surnames), inserted
at InforEstudante. | |

![]() | Where do you pick up your (permanent) Student Card? |
After
the student card is issued, when it arrives at the Faculty/Department, it is
registered and validated. This procedure triggers an automatic notification to
the Student with the information necessary for him/her to pick it up: (1) At the Student Assistance Office/Service of your
Faculty or Department: (2) At the International Relations Unit (DRI): (3) At the Academic Centre of the Academic Management
Services in Polo 1 (Student Hub): The same procedure is applied to the students who have a temporary card. The whole process is managed by the Information Technology Platform “Management of UC Cards” that sends the necessary information to SIBS, which is the entity responsible for the cards’ issuance. This platform is available to the Faculties, and at the Faculty of Sciences and Technology, to its Departments. | |
