Knowledge Organisation: Trends and Challenges

On October 24 and 25, the international conference "Knowledge Organisation: Trends and Challenges" will be held in honour of Professor Graça Simões within the Disciplinary Affinities, who was a lecturer in the Department of Philosophy, Communication and Information at the Faculty of Letters of the University of Coimbra and a researcher in Group 7 of Digital Humanities. The conference will result in a book of proceedings to be published by the University of Coimbra Press with the support of CEIS20.

Maria da Graça Simões was an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Arts and Humanities of the University of Coimbra and a researcher in Group 7 - Digital Humanities at CEIS20. Her research area focused on the Organisation of Knowledge, in which she was a renowned specialist with national and international recognition. Both her scientific output and the international partnerships she established, especially in Spain and Brazil, as a member of research groups and as a visiting professor, bear witness to this.
