Green Republicanism and Post-Productivism
With the start of the new year, we are resuming CEIS20's cycle of lectures Axes of Interdisciplinary Knowledge with a session entitled “Green Republicanism and Post-Productivism” given by Jorge Pinto, who has a PhD in Social and Political Philosophy and is currently a member of the Portuguese Parliament for the LIVRE party. It will take place in the CEIS20 Seminar Room on February 10th at 4.30pm (GMT) and will also be broadcasted online via Zoom (ID: 945 8111 5021). To attend the session, registration is required.

Biography
Jorge Pinto has a degree in Environmental Engineering (FEUP, 2010) and a PhD in Social and Political Philosophy (University of Minho, 2020). On an academic level, he is the author of the book A Liberdade dos Futuros - Ecorrepublicanismo para o século XXI (Freedom of the Future - Ecorepublicanism for the 21st Century) (Tinta da China, 2021) and co-author of the book Rendimento Básico Incondicional: Uma Defesa da Liberdade (Unconditional Basic Income: A Defence of Freedom) (Edições 70, 2019; winner of the 2019 Philosophy Essay Prize from the Portuguese Philosophy Society). He is the co-author of the comic strips Amadeo (Saída de Emergência, 2018; National Reading Plan), Liberdade Incondicional 2049 (Green European Journal, 2019) and Tempo (Iguana, 2024). He also wrote the book Tamem Digo (Officina Noctua, 2022; National Reading Plan). In 2014, he co-founded the LIVRE party. He is currently a member of the Portuguese Parliament.
