Erasmus+ 2026 Funding bids
Erasmus+ 2021–2027 is a European Union funding programme in the field of education, training, youth and sport for the coming years. It will finance mobility projects and transnational cooperation projects reaching ten million Europeans of all ages and from the most diverse origins.
Of particular note are the calls under Action 2 – Higher Education: Cooperation Partnerships, Capacity Building, Innovation and Sport, Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters, and Jean Monnet Actions. These have the following participation restrictions:
- KA2 – Capacity Building in Higher Education (CBHE): each institution may submit only two applications as coordinating entity.
- KA220 – Cooperation Partnerships and KA210 – Small-Scale Partnerships in the sectors of School Education, Adult Education, Vocational Education and Training, and Youth: the cumulative limit per institution, as coordinator and partner, is 10 applications in KA220 and 5 in KA210.
- Given these restrictions, applications submitted via UC will be subject to internal pre-selection under the following terms:
- Applications to be submitted in the indicated sectors must be notified to DAPI for internal pre-selection by 10 January for CBHE actions and 5 February for KA220 and KA210 actions, including the duly completed Im0232 form. The summary field must identify the international partnership involved and the budget foreseen for UC’s participation.
- Applications coordinated by UC will be given first priority, and among those with UC coordination, selection will take place—and be communicated—in order of notification to DAPI within the specified deadline.
- If the number of coordinated applications is lower than 10 (KA220) or 5 (KA210), internal selection for partner applications will take into account the following criteria:
- project objectives and, in the case of resubmissions, the result of the evaluation in the previous call;
- volume of the budget proposed for UC;
- relevance of the partnership in the context of UC’s external relations;
- representativeness of UC’s various organisational units within the full set of applications to be submitted.
Transnational educational cooperation projects will be particularly valued when they contribute to improving teaching, training, skills acquisition, sharing of best practices and transfer of innovation, and when they address the EU’s horizontal priorities for 2021–2027:
- Digital transformation;
- Environment, climate and sustainability;
- Inclusion and diversity;
- Participation in democratic life.
Please consult the DAPI page dedicated to Erasmus+ to learn more about the Programme and each of these calls.
If you wish to coordinate an application on behalf of UC or join a consortium led by another organisation, please contact DAPI (dapi@uc.pt) to ensure proper financial, administrative and legal alignment.
Please note that an information session on this action will be held on 20 November, in webinar format, from 15:00 to 16:00.
