Research Activity
In this section we provide information about all the events that are part of our commitment to research and the dissemination of scientific knowledge, not only through academic circles, but also to society in general.
Our programming includes Conferences and Seminars, where experts share the advances of their research, providing an opportunity for an in-depth debate, naturally interdisciplinary, of greater or lesser duration. In turn, the Workshops aim at practical development in various scientific areas.
The many scientific initiatives that take place within CEIS20 (lectures, seminars, workshops, training, symposia, etc.) are organised into four types: (1) Axes of Interdisciplinary Knowledge aims to bring together all the scientific activities of a broad multidisciplinary or interdisciplinary nature promoted by the Centre, and which are inherently integrated into the scientific mission of the Doctoral Programme in Contemporary Studies; (2) Disciplinary Affinities consists of events that represent the development of perspectives with close disciplinary depth, typically promoted by the Centre's research groups; (3) Projectory – Research in Perspective, which brings together several initiatives promoted by the Centre's Science Management on the formal, evaluative and strategic nature of scientific and artistic practice; and finally, (4) Outreach aims to commit our R&D unit to the promotion and democratization of knowledge and its approach to society.
The Exhibitions & Artistic Research section explores the "practice based research" that the Center promotes. Finally, Other Scientific Events covers the remaining activities organized or co-organized by CEIS20.
All programming is updated regularly and aims to disseminate knowledge, as well as to appeal to the active participation of researchers and/or the interested public.
