GENERAL OBJECTIVES

According to an interdisciplinary and collaborative dynamic, the Digital Humanities research group critically analyses theories, methods and objects based on human activity, configured by the attribute ‘digital’, organising itself into two approaches: (i) Open Science and (ii) Digital Speeches and Cultures.

The analysis of digital cultural and discursive practices, as well as the organisation and representation of knowledge, is characterised by its problematising nature. It is therefore important to understand the role of the electronic environment both in scientific publication, communication and discussion and in the way the activity of creating, interpreting, developing, sharing and preserving knowledge is processed and documented.

In this group, the new Digital Cultures, Artifacts and Practices Lab (DigiCAP Lab) aims to develop, systematise and internationalise the area of research into the heterogeneous dynamics of digital artefacts, understood as ways of constructing realities and producing and negotiating meanings.
