The seminar ‘From Schizoradio to Radiophonic Theatricality: Interdisciplinary Concepts and Practices’ as part of Disciplinary Affinities will take place on 28th April at 3pm, with the participation of Ferdinand Klüsener, researcher and professor at Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg, in the CEIS20 Seminar Room. Registration is required to attend the seminar.
In a recent publication, radio artist Tetsuo Kogawa describes a correlation between Félix Guattari‘s concept of the machinic unconscious and Walter Benjamin‘s philosophy of history. How can such theoretical thinking, which activates two key conceptual frameworks of the long twentieth century, inform radiophonic aesthetic practices?
The seminar is aimed at anyone interested in experimental radio art, schizoanalysis or the political dimension of media. Additionally, Participants will be provided with a previously unpublished English translation of Tetsuo Kogawa‘s text ”Recycling Techniques” from the 1978 book “主体の転換” (Changing the Subject).
