The seminar "Sound, Attention and Zeitgeist" within the framework of Disciplinary Affinities will take place on February 20th at 11.30am, with the participation of Thiago Leiros-Costa, researcher and professor in the field of Arts, Neuropsychology and Education, in the CEIS20 Seminar Room and broadcast online on the Zoom platform.

The session, moderated by Riccardo Wanke, a researcher in Group 4 of CEIS20, aims to address topics such as anxiety, image obsession, neuroscience, identity and mental health, in order to promote reflections on consciousness and self-reflection based on history, philosophy and neuroscience, appealing to the humanities. The conceptual framework for the performance ‘Estudos do Ar e do Fumo’ by Thiago Leiros-Costa will also be presented.

Biography

Thiago Leiros-Costa is Psychologist, Neuroscience PhD, and Artist. He built his career as a scientist while simultaneously maintaining artistic practices. He is currently researcher at the University of Verona and a visiting professor at the University of Milan-Bicocca and Politecnico di Milano. His work aims to discuss the relationship between art and science as an educator and performer.
