The University of Coimbra Children's Library in Alcobaça is a universe of enchanted stories for children and young readers eager for adventure and discovery, where you can let your imagination run wild.

In this space, books come to life and their characters become magical. With a vast collection of tales, fables and colorful illustrations, it is possible to stimulate curiosity and a love of reading, inspiring generations to explore, learn and dream.

The bibliographic collection of the Children's Library of the University of Coimbra in Alcobaça is made up of titles from the legal deposit of the General Library of the University of Coimbra for this type of public.

Objectives:

• Learning and Discovery Space, offering a wide variety of books, magazines, educational games and multimedia resources designed to meet the needs and interests of children and young people;
• Promoting Reading, making a positive impact on the cognitive and linguistic development of children and young people;
• Development of Social Skills, offering programs that promote social interactions that contribute to the emotional and social development of children and young people;
• Exploring Interests, using a wide range of materials that allow children and young people to explore their own interests, such as in the sciences, art, history, among others;
• Encouraging Creativity, where it is possible to develop activities that stimulate the imagination and creative expression, such as art workshops, story factories, among others;
