From May 16 to 18, 2024, the 13th World Research Congress of the European Association for Palliative Care (EAPC) was held in Barcelona (Spain). The EOLinPLACE Project team was represented by PI Bárbara Gomes, co-PI Sílvia Lopes, researchers Elizabeth Namukaya and Sara Pinto, as well as PhD students Dorothy Olet and Sifra Van de Beek.

Silvia Lopes presented the evolution of hospice mortality data between 2012 and 2021, in Italy, New Zealand, the United Kingdom and the United States. Dorothy Olet gave an oral presentation on the diversity of places of death in children between 2012-2021, in 32 countries analyzed. Sifra Van de Beek presented a poster describing different stakeholders' perspectives on place of care and place of death in the end of life across four different countries (Portugal, The Netherlands, Uganda and the United States).
