Departure towards Bussaco Mountains
Here we can see the eighteenth-century convent belonging once to the Order of Carmelitas, of which only the church and its dependencies remain private.
Along the mountain we will finding a series of small chapels, hermitages known as the Penitential or chapels dating from the XVII Century. Visit the Grand Hotel do Bussaco, a beautiful building with the design of architect Manini dating from the end of the XIX century in neo-Manueline style.

Visit Batalha / Alcobaça / Nazaré
Departure from the hotels towards the city of Batalha (Visit the Monastery). After the visit we will follow to Alcobaça to visit this historical city. Lunch will be already in Nazaré fishing traditions. Free time in the afternoon so one can explore this beautiful fishing tradition.

Walking tour of Coimbra including a visit to the University Library
The University of Coimbra is one of the oldest int Europe. Founded in Lisbon by King Dinis in 1290, it was finally transferred to Coimbra in 1537, occupying the buildings of the medieval Royal Palace. In the University of Coimbra we will visit the Joanine Library and the Botanical Garden. The walking tour will continue with visits to the Old Cathedral (Sé Velha), the New Cathedral (Sé Nova) as well as the Machado de Castro National Museum. The Machado de Castro Museum is housed in the former Bishop’s Palace built on top of the cryptoporticus – the foundation of the forum of the Roman city of Aeminium (Coimbra).
