Operational Group Final Congress #i9Kiwi

17 december, 2021≈ 2 min read

Last December 16th was a great day for the FLOWer Lab, not only for the massive participation in the Final Congress of the Operational Group #i9Kiwi (led by researcher Joana Costa, FitoLab, Instituto Pedro Nunes, CFE), with presentations made by the researchers Helena Castro, Hugo Gaspar, João Loureiro and Catarina Siopa, but also because this Congress marks the closing (or semi-closing, as there are still some results to be published) of a very beautiful chapter in the life of the FLOWer Lab, studying pollination and pollinators at kiwi culture in Portugal, in one of the FLOWer Lab's 1st truly applied projects.

This congress was attended by two excellent guest speakers who spoke about #pollination and #pollinators: Agustín Sáez (Universidad Nacional del Comahue, Argentina) "The importance of pollinators for agricultural production" and Violeta Hevia (Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, Spain) "Do farmers care about #pollinators? A cross-site comparison of farmers' perceptions, knowledge, and management practices for several pollinatordependent crops."

All presentations will be available on the project website
