Podcast “Plantas na Serra” nominated for PODES 2023
“Plantas na Serra” podcast is one of the five programs nominated for the best national podcast award, for the Science, Technology and Education category of the PODES Festival 2023, the most important honour for this genre of communication.
For curious people and explorers of other places of knowledge, this program offers free access to reserved spaces and guided tours of classified material. This first series of ten episodes marked the meeting with the researcher Filipe Covelo, at the Herbarium of the University of Coimbra. Once a week and with all carefulness, the closets of the Portuguese collection were opened and the expeditions through Serra do Caramulo were used as a compass between the 100 thousand samples of plants preserved there. From crops from other times to more recent ecological information, every sheet of paper was looked at as if they were on a field trip.
“Plantas na Serra” is a program by Filipe Covelo, Sónia Nunes, and António Gouveia, produced in the scope of PP20 of the F4F (Forest For Future) consortium, coordinated by CFE and VOUZELAR – Associação de Promoção de Vouzela confiananced by Centro 2020, Portugal 2020 and the European Union, through the European Social Fund.
The online program is available on Spotify and Apple Podcasts.
