The Welcome and Integration Week at the University of Coimbra has already begun at the Department of Life Sciences. The reception for the new undergraduate students in Biology, Biochemistry, Anthropology, and Marine Biology took place at the UC Botanical Garden.
The event was attended by several faculty members from these degree programs, providing a first opportunity for interaction between teachers and students. The program also included meetings with course coordinators, who presented the main guidelines of the training, as well as a guided tour of the DCV facilities with the collaboration of the student associations, allowing newcomers to become familiar with the academic environment that will accompany them over the coming years.
This is an essential step in the integration of the new generation of DCV students, fostering from day one the sense of community, sharing, and closeness that characterizes the Department.
