PhD PROGRAMME

The Department of Life Sciences offers 3 doctoral programs: Anthropology, Biosciences and Landscape Architecture and Urban Ecology, the latter being in association with the Universities of Lisbon and Porto.

Regarding the PhD in Anthropology, the candidate can choose one of the 3 areas of specialization: Biological Anthropology, Forensic Anthropology or Social and Cultural Anthropology.

The PhD in Biosciences has 6 areas of specialization: Cellular and Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Ecology, Microbiology and Neurosciences.

Thesis referring to previous years can be delivered (submitted online) until December 31, 2022 to schedule the respective defense.
