Detection and Dynamics of Exoplanets (DDE)

The Physics Department of the University of Coimbra is hosting the conference ‘Detection and Dynamics of Exoplanets (DDE): Interplay between theory and observations’ from 7 to 11 July 2025. Detecting and characterising planets in multiple systems is not an easy task, because the signals from each star overlap and observations can be reproduced by different orbital configurations. In addition, in many systems, planets are involved in resonances, making it even more difficult to separate individual contributions. At this conference, we aim to bring together the communities of observers and theorists working on exoplanets. Through the exchange of knowledge and difficulties, we hope it will be possible to develop common strategies for extracting the maximum information from observational data and theoretical models.
