Masterclasses – hands on particles

On March 29th, the Physics Department will host the International Masterclasses in Particle Physics - “Being a scientist for a day... hands on particles!”
This activity is aimed at high-school students in the area of science and technology. Participants will get an idea of the different stages in the life of a scientist: training in the morning, analysis of real data after lunch and participation in an international video conference to discuss the results. The local organisation is the responsibility of Professors Helmut Wolters and Ricardo Gonçalo, both from the Physics Department.
